GLAS MANAGEMENT

GLAS MANAGEMENT

Glass management can involve simply leaving it in position if this fits in with the nominated extrication plan. This saves time and also reduces the amount of contamination on scene (glass dust and fragments). In addition to leaving it in situ, clear film like packexe can be applied. This strengthens the glass and also allows the use of hydraulic tools as when the glass does break, it is controlled. Leaving glass in situ provides additional protection to the patient as they are not exposed to the environment.
