VEHICLE GLAZING

VEHICLE GLAZING

The types of glass used in vehicles has changed very little in recent times, which for emergency responders is great news, as this is one area, we feel very comfortable dealing with. What has changed though, is the locations in which some of the different constructions are now used and with the emergence of panoramic roof structures,

potentially more glass to deal with. Car glass can actually be considered as a passive safety feature due to the very nature of its design it keeps occupants in the vehicles during collisions, assist with the effectiveness of side curtain airbag activation and provide structural strength to the vehicle. Vehicle Extrication - The NEXT GENERATION takes a different look at glass management and asks that we consider the trapped victim by not systematically removing all of the glass and exposing our patient to the environment.
