The Long Night of Science

How can Superheroes protect themselves from deadly heat? Why is it important to explore the Liber Quodilbetarius? And what's the Bullwhip effect all about, anyway?

On Saturday, October 19, 2019, between 6 p. m. and 1 a. m. , interested scientists received answers to these and all kinds of other questions: At the 9th Long Night of Sciences. Around 400 research-active institutions in Nuremberg, Fürth and Erlangen invited to an expedition through the research landscape in Franconia. The university, all five universities from the region, the Helmholtz Institute Erlangen-Nuremberg, the ax-Planck Institute, the two Fraunhofer Institutes and several companies and associations, state and municipal institutions such as museums open their doors on this special night.

LUKAS was also there together with Thermo Fisher and the fire brigade Frauenaurach. The new eWXTs (Edraulic Watertight Extrication Tool) were presented and admired in front of the Physical Institute in Erlangen.
