With both doors closed and the B pillar de trimmed: Remove outer wing (fender) and expose hinges. Spread and/or cut hinges and check strap. Make a large relief cut in the sill (rocker panel) close to the base of the B pillar. Open the rear door.

When delivering training on the technical aspects of vehicle extrication, one of the most asked questions is; why don’t you do it like this?
